Done ReelMaster reel-handling system for handling of master reels

Done Logistics’ ReelMaster concept consists of handling and packaging systems for both the heavy rolls and the slit reels. This interim storing system is part of the heavy roll-handling concept.

Done Logistics’ automatic reel-handling system offers an interesting solution to interim storing of paper-, cardboard-, film- and other kinds of reels. With the total system you can precisely control the material flow between for instance the laminators and the slitters. The system consists of e.g. in-feeding conveyors and assorting area, which at the same time acts as an interim storage for the reels, as well as reel manipulator and out- feeding carriages. 

The reels are fed in to assorting using a conveyor and out from the assorting area with the help of the out-feeding carriages. The assorting- and rolling movements are gently done by an automatic reel manipulator, which operates as a reel organizer above the assorting area. In this system you can fluently change, when needed, the alignments of the reels going to the slitters or eventually returning from there. The reel manipulator rolls the reels to requested places on the assorting area or e.g. to the transfer carriages. 

This is a reel assorting- and storing system whereby the movements of both hard reels and soft reels are assured. The movements and transfers of all actions are done delicately and in a controlled manner without damaging the pressure sensitive material of the reels. The safety level of Done ReelMaster reel-handling system is significantly high, because the reels don’t bowl freely along a gradient pin, on the contrary all the movements and transfers are smooth and strictly controlled. 

The solution has been granted a patent. This system offers the customers, on the top of safety, several considerable advantages. You can e.g. get savings in quality costs and minimize the product damages. Additionally this fully automatic system has small handling costs and there is no need for forklifts.
