Introducing Sales Manager
Markku Kortesmaa
Since his take-up of duties as Done Logistics Oy’s Sales Manager in September, Markku Kortesmaa (50),
M.Sc. in mechanical engineering, has been focusing on sales of Done Logistics’
expertise and materials-handling systems.
Previously, Kortesmaa worked as Project Manager for Nokia Corporation and during his employment he gained international experience, for example, by working and living in
Beijing, China. He was also involved in major projects in Poland, Germany and Singapore. Before Nokia, he worked as Information System Manager for both PPTH and Lillbacka
Oy (steel construction and machine manufacturing companies).
Between 1992 and 1994, he headed the Software
Department at Esko Salo Oy (pre-decessor of Done Logistics)
and was actively involved in the following projects, among
other things: a picking and dispatch system for Atria
(Scandinavia's largest meat processing company), a dispatch
system for Valio Seinäjoki (Normilk) and a palletizing and
dispatch system for M-Real’s Tako Carton Plant.
In the early 80s, he was employed by Nekomat, where he developed a zero-pressure accumulation pallet conveyor as part of his master’s thesis.
Living in Peräseinäjoki, Markku has a wife, and two sons who are students. His leisure time activities include music, such as choral singing, and, being a nature lover, bird-watching in the wild, as well as pottering round his summer house.
