Networking Is a Key to Success (MHModules)

The partnership between Swedish MHModules AB (Material Handling Modules) and Done Logistics has continued for years and as a result several MH conveyors have been delivered in connection with Done’s total systems. Below Mr. Ole Böttern from MHModules tells his view of efficient usage of time and networking, which he finds to be the main key to success for an enterprise. Today the lack of time is one of the major issues to handle and according to Mr. Böttern it will be the same also tomorrow. 

30 years ago it would have taken 12 months to deliver a MHModules’ conveyor system. 10 years ago it would have taken 12 weeks and today the completion time is about 6-8 weeks. The negative part of this trend is stress in time-schedules and that way a higher risk to do faults. The good part of the trend is that companies which are able to adopt a concept of handling short delivery times  efficiently, will become the long term winners. The companies which are more accustomed to networking, are expanding on the markets. These networks have specialized knowledge to support end users with their functional needs. Networks establish and become unique by the needs of each projects.

Well aware of these facts MHModules established already in 1994 a new business idea, based on the expected future needs of the European market. MHModules develops, produces and sells conveyor modules to machine and system suppliers without own product identity. No sale directly to the end user – is a principle which makes the survival of MHModules totally dependent on the partner network.

Now, more than 12 years later MHModules has a turnover of more than million 3 EUR per year. During that time nearly 200 partners have been found all over Europe.

To be able to give fast services and short delivery times, MHModules has a 4.750 m² production unit and warehouse of conveyor rollers, other components and half fabricated products for the fast assembly of different conveyor systems. The stock is situated in South Sweden.
 

During the years MHModules, at partners’ demands, developed one of the largest product programs for conveying equipment in northern Europe. This modular product program is continuously growing and the present equipment can handle loads up to 3000 kg. The model range can be used to create small systems or major complex systems which operate together with robots, assembly lines, distribution centres, warehousing or other requested applications. 

More than 12 years of specialized networking makes MHModules a key partner for companies like Done Logistics, whose needs of conveying equipment in connection with the big system supplies have become more challenging meanwhile the projects have become more demanding.
