In recent years, Done Logistics Oy has specialized in more sophisticated palletizing applications in its palletizing system deliveries. The company has developed a host of palletizing concepts through which it channels expertise for the benefit of customers and markets. The palletizing methods are divided into two main groups, standard palletizing and special palletizing, which are sub-divided into a number of techniques. Below is a more detailed description:
Standard palletizing, Done PallMaster
Maintaining a strong position in handling large-volume general cargoes, the conventional standard palletizing method can be based on various techniques, such as layer, stack, portal or
robot palletizing solutions. Robot palletizing has become a sought-after solution in recent years in particular. The trial runs of systems and equipment performed at the Kauhajoki plant
also in the customer’s presence form Done Logistics’ standard practice. As a result of our development work in 2006, we are now able to supply the customer with a high-capacity plate palletizer, including all the relevant functions such as a pallet cassette connected to the chassis.
We delivered the latest palletizer of this kind to M-Real’s plant in the UK.
A novel feature relates to the shorter lead time of the palletizing system from the trial run at the Kauhajoki plant to its final commissioning on the customer’s premises. We were successful in modifying the palletizer’s structure and streamlining its dimensions to create such a compact system that it can be transported by truck as a whole package to the customer, saving time and money. Previously
we had to dismantle the palletizers for transportation.
The palletizer operates completely automatically, provided that its operator has chosen the desired pallet pattern and changes. Its extremely reliable functions guarantee disruption-free operations on a 24/7 basis. We are pleased to offer this compact, high-capacity palletizer to customers stressing the importance of rapid system adoption and efficient space utilization, in addition to palletization capacity.
Special palletizing, Done PallMaster
In the context of its concept for special palletizing, Done Logistics has, in cooperation with its customers, developed handling methods and accessories suitable for difficult materials, enabling the reduction of wrapping and palletization costs to a minimum.
In special palletizing, the large size, exceptional shape, softness or lightness of palletizable goods may present an
unusual challenge to the project, such as palletizing solutions for large insulating panels and tissue paper palletization. Moreover, palletizing goods in sub-zero temperatures and on cold premises requires expertise. Done Logistics has implemented palletizing solutions for temperatures of down to –28C.
Special palletizing often requires special techniques for which Done Logistics and its partners have developed special equipment with the aim of maximizing capacity, quality and productivity.
