High levels of efficiency are achieved with products
manufactured in large series, while the manufacturing of small
series and individual items may turn out to be expensive and
inefficient. If cheap production expenses and low-cost raw
materials can be combined with large series, the result can be
extremely competitive. Many companies transfer their
production partially or entirely to emerging industrial
countries such as China, India, Vietnam etc. in order to be
able to combine these production factors in the most
economical way.
But according to the old saying, there’s an exception to every
rule. Investment items required for production, such as
production lines, are often tailored to the customer’s needs.
Done Logistics provides its customers with the design and
implementation of solutions for the handling of products that
come in a roll shape, the packing of pallets and the automatic
picking of orders, none of which are identical to earlier or
future solutions.
In information system services for the management of
warehousing and dispatching functions, we have taken the
standardisation of software to the module and component level.
Software elements come as so-called library software, and the
package delivered to the customer is compiled from these
standard modules, which can, if necessary, be modified to
better support the customer’s special needs.
Systems are created as a result of a multistage dialogue
together with the customer’s various representatives. The
finalised design may include machinery or devices that have
not existed before. In such a case, we design them, produce
manufacturing drawings and guidelines for them, and either
manufacture them ourselves or seek the most efficient
manufacturer for them. Every year, Done Logistics carries out
one or more projects, in which the solution contains
completely new machinery or devices.
The interesting truth of the matter is that tailored automatic
systems, which have been manufactured in small series or
individually, can be used to carry out the most efficient
large series or volume production. And even more interesting
is the observation that, even in low-cost countries,
manufacturers have started to buy an increasing number of
tailored automatic production lines. People have noticed that
an automatic production line that has been individually
designed and manufactured to meet the customer’s specific
needs is the best means to carrying out cost-efficient large
series production. People have realised the fact that manual
labour cannot replace the many undisputed advantages of
automation. There are several work stages which are not
worthwhile to carry out even using cheap labour. Automation
can be used to reduce wastage and various faults in products
and operations on so many different levels that, when looking
at overall expenses, an investment in automation pays for
itself in a very short period of time.
Sometimes so quickly that there is no need to transfer
production to low-cost countries simply because of labour
costs...
Done Logistics globally serves companies in industry and trade
by designing, according to the customer’s needs, automatic
materials handling systems for intralogistics and
information system services for the warehousing, dispatching
and distribution functions, as well as marketing them and
delivering them through turnkey projects. Done Logistics
creates permanent rationalisation benefits for the customer’s
operations by means of its innovative technical systems that
utilise the newest automation technology and sophisticated
information technology solutions.
We would like to invite you to negotiate on the solution that
