New Sales
Manager, Logistics Software, Arto Pellonpää tells about
himself and his job:
My
name is Arto Pellonpää and I have nearly 30 years of
experience in sales and marketing within ICT. I joined Done
from ANVIA OY where I worked with large companies in sales
projects of customer-specific applications. I live in
Seinäjoki with my wife and 8-year old daughter. We moved to
Seinäjoki from Espoo in 1992. I do all kinds of sport,
generally ball games (tennis, squash, badminton and golf) and
I manage my daughter’s Finnish baseball team. I graduated from
the IT faculty of Raahe Institute of Technology and Business
in 1981. During my career I have done several foundation and
supplementary courses such as the Helsinki University of
Technology’s management for expert organizations course. I
have also been an entrepreneur for nearly ten years.
I started with Done Logistics at the
beginning of September and I work as Sales Manager in the
Software department in Seinäjoki. My work includes sales of
the FIdaWare program to new customers.
The Done Logistics Software department
develops and supports the FidaWare for Warehousing program.
The program is a modular, ready WMS program that can be
flexibly applied to the customer’s operation to enhance the
intralogistical material-, work- and information flow.
FidaWare is a valuable tool for all sorts of warehouse and it
can be used if required to control automatic warehousing and
it also includes picking planning and control functions.
Among FidaWare’s most recent
developments are terminal control functions which make it an
excellent choice for logistics companies engaged in
warehousing services and terminal operations. A good example
of this is Nurminen Logistics Oyj who purchased FidaWare to
control operations at their new Vuosaari logistics centre.
With a good couple of months behind me
in my new job the time has flown by. It’s challenging and it
demands staying power. And although the current economic
situation certainly doesn’t encourage investment, based on the
feedback I have received from companies, the ground work we
have done is going to bring results.
